Birth of the Bowen Bullets

In 2007, Boys Football sadly disappeared from the Bowen sports scene for three years after the CCA was shut down. Girls football emerged instead to fill the void and the School's Girls Football team went on to become a championship-winning setup. With hopes of emulating the success of the Girls Football CCA, Boys Football was revived in July 2010.

And what a stir the Boys team caused in 2011! 8 months after regaining its CCA status, the C Div Boys Football team clinched a surprising but well-deserved 4th place in the North Zone Inter-Schools Football Competition.

2011 also saw all football teams in Bowen nicknamed the Bowen Bullets to forge a common identity as a cohesive CCA unit, enabling the girls and boys football teams to share and optimise the resources made available to the sport.
